Curriculum Overview

Rising Stars International Academy’s holistic approach aims to produce individuals who are well-rounded and ready to play their part in society. Exciting and Experiential learning opportunities take students beyond traditional boundaries of the classroom and encourage authentic hands-on, minds-on learning. Students are provided with the opportunity to learn about themselves, other people, different cultures and the world around them.

At Rising Stars International Academy, we nurture our young students the ability to ask questions and look for answers, to think in new ways, to solve problems and create new opportunities for the future. We help our students to build up a set of sound values so that they have the strength of character and resilience to deal with life’s inevitable setbacks without being unduly discouraged. They will then have the willingness to work hard to achieve their dreams. We also strongly believe in upholding traditional Khmer values and fundamental characteristics of Cambodia culture which inherent qualities that define our society.

The Singapore-US curriculum ensures that our students will not only become effectively fluent in 3 languages; English, Mandarin and Khmer during their Preschool, Elementary, and  High School years, but they will also develop significant skills in Mathematics, Science and Information Technology. This curriculum fully prepares them for their studies in the Secondary years leading to the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examination.

Rising Stars International Academy provides the following levels of education:

Daycare:   (6 months to 2 years old)

Our Daycare program provides a stimulating and caring environment designed to promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. We strive to create programmes that develop positive self-image for children and respect their individuality, intelligence, and creativity.

Supercity Preschool  (Nursery 1-Kindergarten  2) :   (2-6 years old).

Our focus is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for the students and develop their social and emotional skills. We ensure that students developed and acquired their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills at a young age. Our inquiry and play-based programme provides the optimal balance between a classroom rich in child-initiated play and focused learning activities guided by our teachers.

Primary:    Primary 1 – Primary 6    (6 to 12 years old)

Rising Stars International Academy’s offers 6 years of education that is designed to give your child a strong foundation including developing language and numeracy skills. At the end of six years, our students will be prepared to sit for the International Primary School Leaving Examination (iPSLE) recognised by the Cambodia Examination and Assessment Board (CEAB).

Middle School and High School :   Secondary 1 – 4    (12 -16 years old)

The Secondary School curriculum is divided into two academic programmes. The Pre IGCSE for students in Secondary 1 and 2 and the IGCSE (18 months programme) for students in Secondary 3 and 4 (combined). Both programmes are taught by teachers who are highly qualified and specialised in their field.
